Cooking My First Cooking Video! Lamb Potjie | Lockdown Sessions

So a few days ago Team ZBS asked you what video I should make next, and an overwhelming majority of you asked me to cook an Indian dish!

So I decided to take up the challenge – hope you enjoy this video! Here’s the recipe:

Recipe and preparation instructions courtesy of Saleem Kathrada’s Special Lamb Potjie (Pronounced Poy-kee) Recipe:
I Cast Iron Potjie (Number 3)
2 kg Lamb
2 Tablespoons of wet red ginger / garlic masala to apply to the meat before cooking

Ingredients:
1 and half cups of oil (400ml)
2 tablespoons of Ghee
4 Peppercorns
4 Cloves
4 Cinnamon Sticks
10 Curry Leaves
4 Cardamon
6 Bay Leaves
4 Tablespoons of Ginger Garlic Masala paste
2 teaspoons of Turmeric
3 teaspoons of Chilli Powder
2 teaspoons of curry powder (Rajah)
4 teaspoons of salt
2 teaspoons of dhaaniya (Coriander)
2 teaspoons of Jheera (Cumin)
4 Green Chillies
4 Medium Tomatoes
10 medium onions
8 Potatoes
2 Tablespoons of tomato purée
