One in all my favourite items of drugs I personal, I modded and added a number of stuff to the fundamental Pathfinder Faculty bottle cooking package, to take an already wonderful product, and actually get probably the most bang for my buck!

  1. Stash a spool of Spider wire. fishing and cordage all in one. To test it's lasting power I put up a string of it next to my house and periodically walk by and give it a good tug to see if it's deteriorated enough to break. That was 5 years ago and it's still holding strong. Take one of those old Gas cards that are left lying around a Walmart gas pumps and cut an indention in the short sides of the card. Spool with 40 or 50 feet of spider wire. place various sized hooks on top of the spider wire and tape the whole thing over with duct tape or gorilla tape. Since it's exactly credit card sized it will go right into your wallet. Survival fishing set in your wallet. 😉

  2. Just my opinion: I own this kit. It is my "EDC-Get Home Bag" cook kit. It would take me 2 days to get home from the furthest place I travel (work). This is a great "Survival Cook Kit" but I think as a "Camping Cook Kit" there are better options if you are camping with multiple people who need to cook. Great for a small use kit; not so great for larger needs. When I camp, I camp with my daughters or wife and I find a wood-gas stove and individual MSR pots work best for us. Don't get me wrong, I love this for my survival prep. but not so much for my camping needs unless I'm the only one using it to cook. Camping with the guys who all bring their own gear…. great. Three people using it and having to wait to use it…. not so good.

  3. Not to nitpick, but what exactly is this kit for? day hikes? you have 3 knives, 5 ways to start fire, 4 ignition aids, and 3 ways to purify water. No wonder you are out of space. Too many people shower themselves with redundancies. You could get rid of half that stuff and throw some food bars in, a flashlight, a small stone for all 3 of your knives, etc. It just seems like this is a day kit gone wrong. Not to mention that mora looks like it was bought yesterday.

  5. The wire strainer “steamer” is an excellent idea!
It’s rare that I see something new in these videos…but this is an excellent kit.

  6. i sold my pathfinder SS water bottle. my nalgene SS water bottle was much higher quality. i kept the bag and sold the water bottle.

  7. Great mods to your kit. I'm going to add some to my kit. The ranger ban on the water bottle lid is brilliant, using the band to hold the bandanna for filtering will work great.

  8. I've got a 64 oz, bottle kit with acholol stove, same thing as the 32 oz kit I've got for my grandson
