Free Solo Climber Breaks Speed Record in Italian Alps

Swiss alpinist Dani Arnold set the record for time climbing the Cima Grande, a 550-meter high mountain face in the Italian Alps, without the aid of ropes or a safety harness in September. He beat the previous time by around 19 minutes with his new time of 46 minutes, 30 seconds.
