Hakone would probably have to be one of the more popular holiday destinations in Japan. If you have a day or two to spare in your itinerary, I highly recommend going!

In this video, I show you guys my hassle free overnight trip to the mountains of Hakone. It’s not too far from Tokyo (using the Hakone Free Pass) and has tons of touristy things to do so you’ll never be bored.

Itinerary:
– Shinjuku Station (Odakyu Line bound for Hakone Yumoto)
Buy HAKONE FREE PASS it’s about 5,700 yen
– Ride the bus toward the lake cruise Hakone Kankosen

– Use the ropeway from Togendai Station up to Owakudani Valley

– Check into Hostel Tenmaku

~8,500 yen for 2 people
– Buy tickets to the night museum at the Hakone Open Air Museum

– Buy tickets to the POLA Museum of Art

– Go to Hakone Yuryo Onsen
