How to Wax Your Own Skis | Outside
Snow is finally starting to dust the mountains, which means it’s time to get our skis prepped for the season. While a local ski shop is always an option for tune-ups, learning how to wax your own skis is easier than you might think.
Outside’s resident waxing expert, Brad Rassler, is here to walk you through the process of cleaning and waxing your skis at the beginning of the season. To get started, you’ll need a sturdy table or ski bench as your workspace, a waxing iron, some quality ski wax, plus a nylon brush, brass brush, fiberlene towel and a scraper. To finish off the job, you’ll also need some base cleaner and a sponge.
