Japan Travel Guide & Tips – How to plan a Trip to Japan (Part 2)

This video covers all Japan Travel Tips and is part 2 of my “How to plan a trip to Japan” series. Below is a summary:

1. Visa – it is not difficult to get Japan visa on Indian passport. Visit the VFS website –

Tickets to Japan are available in plenty, and there are also a lot of direct flights from bigger cities.

2. Accommodation – Stay in Airbnbs to save some money and also get a flavor of traditional Japanese Houses or Ryokans. Always choose a place near to all the action (Tokyo – Shinjuku, Kyoto – Higashiyama, Hiroshima – Near Peace Park). This will save a lot of time and money in traveling.

3. Food – Use the app called HappyCow if you want to know about vegetarian options near you. Definitely try Ramen (because there is just too much variety), Sushi, and a lot of Convenience store food, because that way you will also save some money

4. Transportation – may make sense to go for a Japan Railpass (for example, we took a 7 day pass and planned our itinerary in such a way that all JR Pass related journeys were covered in those 7 days) Also, when traveling within city, use public transport to save some money. There are also a lot of 1,2,3 day passes for bus, train etc. you can make use of
