Japan's travel account surplus drops in October
Japan’s surplus in its travel account dropped in October as fewer South Koreans visited the nation amid tensions between the two countries.
Data by Tokyo’s finance ministry shows Japan’s travel account surplus fell below 1-point-nine billion dollars in October, down 180 million U.S. dollars compared to the same period last year.
According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the number of foreign tourists to Japan declined 5-point-five percent on-year in October.
Number of Korean tourists to the country plunged over 65 percent.
