Mosques in Russia – Kul Sharif Mosque Kazan Tatarstan – Stunning Middle Age icon in heart of Kremlin

The amazing Kul Sharif Mosque is the most iconic symbol of Kazan, Russia’s third city and emerging tourist destination. This has long been an ambition of mine to visit after seeing it many years ago on Euronews. The original Mosque stood from the Middle Ages and was recently rebuilt. There is a viewing gallery for visitors and a Museum of Islam below.
