Visiting Jinshanling Great Wall of China – Great Day Trip From Beijing

The Great Wall of China is one of humanity’s greats accomplishments. At 21,196km in total length, it’s hard to know what section to visit.

Jinshanling, 125km north of Beijing, is a scenic viewpoint that you’ll never forget, and it’s much less popular than other sections of the wall.

Originally constructed in 1368 to 1389, and by spending a day from Beijing exploring this ancient site, you’ll find resorted sections, as well as parts that have slowly crumbled over time.
