Why Mario Odyssey is More like 3D World than Mario 64, Sunshine, or Galaxy|Review of Design(REMAKE)

Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch is usually said to be a spiritual successor to the 1996 Nintendo 64 game aptly named Mario 64. Especially in marketing Nintendo wants to keep consumers believing that Odyssey is Mario back to his sandbox adventure roots, and while true to an extent in this video we discover how Mario Odyssey ‘s design is far more akin to the Wii U’s controversially linear Super Mario 3d World and how that is a good thing!
